Feat Description
Monstrous Mount You can select an exotic beast from the list of monstrous mounts to serve as your animal companion or special mount. You acquire and advance this creature in the same way as the mount or animal companion detailed in the class feature used as a prerequisite for this feat. You can also dismiss the creature as dictated by your class feature. You must meet additional prerequisites to choose a creature with an Intelligence score of 3 or higher, as described in each creature’s entry.
Monstrous Mount Mastery Your monstrous mount gains the abilities and bonuses listed under Mastery in its stat block. You must be of at least the indicated level for the mount to use these abilities, so if you dismiss a mount and gain a new mount of a different type, you retain the feat but might not yet be of sufficient level for the new mount to gain its Mastery benefits.
Outflank Gain +4 bonus on attack rolls when flanking.

Mounted Combat Once per round when your mount is hit in combat, you may attempt a Ride check (as an immediate action) to negate the hit. The hit is negated if your Ride check result is greater than the opponent’s attack roll.

Vital Strike When you use the attack action, you can make one attack at your highest base attack bonus that deals additional damage. Roll the weapon’s damage dice for the attack twice and add the results together before adding bonuses from Strength, weapon abilities (such as flaming), precision-based damage, and other damage bonuses. These extra weapon damage dice are not multiplied on a critical hit, but are added to the total.
Class Abilities
Ability Description
Challenge Once per day, a cavalier can challenge a foe to combat. As a swift action, the cavalier chooses one target within sight to challenge. The cavalier’s melee attacks deal extra damage whenever the attacks are made against the target of his challenge. This extra damage is equal to the cavalier’s level. The cavalier can use this ability once per day at 1st level, plus one additional time per day for every three levels beyond 1st, to a maximum of seven times per day at 19th level. Challenging a foe requires much of the cavalier’s concentration. The cavalier takes a –2 penalty to his Armor Class, except against attacks made by the target of his challenge. The challenge remains in effect until the target is dead or unconscious or until the combat ends. Each cavalier’s challenge also includes another effect which is listed in the section describing the cavalier’s order.
Mount A cavalier gains the service of a loyal and trusty steed to carry him into battle. This mount functions as a druid’s animal companion, using the cavalier’s level as his effective druid level. The creature must be one that he is capable of riding and is suitable as a mount. A Medium cavalier can select a camel or a horse. A Small cavalier can select a pony or wolf, but can also select a boar or a dog if he is at least 4th level. The GM might approve other animals as suitable mounts. A cavalier does not take an armor check penalty on Ride checks while riding his mount. The mount is always considered combat trained and begins play with Light Armor Proficiency as a bonus feat. A cavalier’s mount does not gain the share spells special ability. A cavalier’s bond with his mount is strong, with the pair learning to anticipate each other’s moods and moves. Should a cavalier’s mount die, the cavalier may find another mount to serve him after 1 week of mourning. This new mount does not gain the link, evasion, devotion, or improved evasion special abilities until the next time the cavalier gains a level.
Order Order of the Lion
Lion’s Call At 2nd level, an order of the lion cavalier gains the ability to rally his allies. As a standard action, he can give an encouraging speech which grants all allies within 60 feet a competence bonus on their saving throws against fear equal to his Charisma modifier and a +1 competence bonus on attack rolls for a number of rounds equal to his cavalier level. If an ally within range is under the effect of a spell or ability that causes him to be frightened or panicked, he can immediately make another saving throw to resist the effect (if allowed).
For the King At 8th level, an order of the lion cavalier can call out to his allies, inspiring them to greatness. As a swift action, the cavalier can grant a competence bonus equal to his Charisma modifier on all attack anddamage rolls to all allies within 30 feet. This bonus lasts for 1 round. This ability can be used once per combat.
Tactician At 1st level, a cavalier receives a teamwork feat as a bonus feat. He must meet the prerequisites for this feat. As a standard action, the cavalier can grant this feat to all allies within 30 feet who can see and hear him. Allies retain the use of this bonus feat for 3 rounds plus 1 round for every two levels the cavalier possesses. Allies do not need to meet the prerequisites of these bonus feats. The cavalier can use this ability once per day at 1st level, plus one additional time per day at 5th level and for every 5 levels thereafter.
Cavalier’s Charge At 3rd level, a cavalier learns to make more accurate charge attacks while mounted. The cavalier receives a +4 bonus on melee attack rolls on a charge while mounted (instead of the normal +2). In addition, the cavalier does not suffer any penalty to his AC after making a charge attack while mounted.
Expert Trainer At 4th level, a cavalier learns to train mounts with speed and unsurpassed expertise. The cavalier receives a bonus equal to 1/2 his cavalier level whenever he uses Handle Animal on an animal that serves as a mount. In addition, he can reduce the time needed to teach a mount a new trick or train a mount for a general purpose to 1 day per 1 week required by increasing the DC by +5. He can also train more than one mount at once, although each mount after the first adds +2 to the DC.
Banner At 5th level, a cavalier’s banner becomes a symbol of inspiration to his allies and companions. As long as the cavalier’s banner is clearly visible, all allies within 60 feet receive a +2 morale bonus on saving throws against fear and a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls made as part of a charge. At 10th level, and every five levels thereafter, these bonuses increase by +1. The banner must be at least Small or larger and must be carried or displayed by the cavalier or his mount to function.

Character Bio

Conrad Hildebrand is a Lord of Udryae who has sworn an oath to the Kingdom of Avon Serving for King Droge D’Onston. Conrad is a man of honor and any oath or vow he has takes he will follow it without question. Conrad is a man who has led troops in time of war and is well known for being a great motivational speaker and excellent fighter. Conrad frowns upon any action that has no honor, but will look past such actions under the most dire of circumstances. His goal in life is to learn what happened to his family who mysteriously disappeared. He has no idea how this goal could be accomplished and therefore has asked his liege if he may leave Avon in search of his family which was granted to him by the king.


As a child Conrad grew up in Spidon keep belonging to Udryae one of the five main duchies of Avon. He was taught chivalry and honor above all else. He had a family of four younger sisters named Elyzée, Alzina, Zoé, Gisele and one younger brother named Adrien. Conrad as a child was always fascinated with non magical flight such as flying beasts or flying machines. His own device failed terribly and ended in the injury of one of his servants. after that tragedy he swore never to create another flying machine so he then focused on flying beasts. At age 16 Conrad went to the capital alone to be knighted. When he returned to Spidon Keep however everyone was gone, however everything looked normal and nothing else was missing. The only thing different was in the Condrad’s personal chambers the walls had “Forever” written on them in blood. Conrad has still not figured out what this means or why it happened. Later when Conrad was 21 Conrad found 2 dead Griffons and one newly born baby Griffon in the mountains near Spidon Keep. He took the baby griffon home and started to raise it and domesticate. When Conrad was 24 a civil war broke out and the king’s personal duchy and Conrad’s duchy stood against 3 of the other duchies. What seemed like the end of the 2 year war in the king and Conrad’s defeat his men losing hope Conrad disappeared from the battle only to return riding the Griffon which he named Lightning Talon which inspired the troops to win the battle. The civil war lasted another 6 years. After the war Conrad was allowed by the king to search for his missing family.
